مَتَى اَوْحَشَكَ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ فَاعْلَمْ اَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ اَنْ يَفْتَحَ لَكَ بَابَ الْأُنْسِ بِهِ

Whenever He makes you feel estranged from His creatures, know that He wishes to open for you the door of intimacy with Him.

فتح باب الانس بالله تعالى هو الاستيحاش من الناس ولذلك قيل الاستئناس بالناس من علامات الافلاس فاذا فتح لك هذا الباب استوحشت من الاغيار كلها وتحققت فى أنسك بربك

The opening of the door of intimacy (*uns*) with God Most High is estrangement (*istīḥāsh*) from people. That is why it has been said: "Seeking intimacy with people is among the signs of bankruptcy (*iflās*)." So when this door is opened for you, you become estranged from all that is other than Him (*al-aghyār*), and you attain true realization (*taḥaqquq*) in your intimacy with your Lord
