لِيُنْفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍ مِنْ سَعَتِهِ الْوَاصِلُونَ اِلَيْهِ وَمَنْ قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ السَّائِرُونَ اِلَيْهِ

"Let the one who has abundance spend out of his abundance" (Q 65:7): these are those who have arrived at Him. "And the one whose provision is measured out to him" (Q 65:7): these are those journeying toward Him.

Ibn ʿAbbād

هذه اشارة ملحة الى حال الفريقين فالواصلون الى الله تعالى لما خرجوا من سجن رؤية الأغيار الى فضاء التوحيد وكمال الاستبصار اتسعت مسافة نظرهم فأنفقوا من سعتهم وتصرفوا فى علومهم كيف شاؤا

This is a fine allusion (*ishāra*) to the state (*ḥāl*) of the two groups. Those who have arrived at God (exalted is He) came out of the prison of beholding the others (*ruʾyat al-aghyār*) into the open expanse of divine oneness (*tawḥīd*) and perfect insight (*istibṣār*). So when they did, the range of their vision grew wide, and they spent from their ample means and disposed of their knowledges as they willed
