كُنْتُ بَيْنَ النَّائِمِ وَالْيَقْظَانِ فَقِيلَ لِي: «اِنَّ النَّاسَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي حَالَةِ النَّوْمِ؛ فِي خَيَالٍ وَعَدَمٍ، وَفِي حَالَةِ الْيَقْظَةِ؛ فِي وُجُودٍ حَقٍّ،
I was between sleeping and waking, and it was said to me: «People suppose that in the state of sleep they are in imagination and nonexistence, and in the state of waking, in true existence;

وَمَا يُدْرِيهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَالَتَيْنِ فِي خَيَالٍ لَا حَقِيقَةَ لَهُ؟!
