Mawqif 263 · Why “Say: He is God” equals a third

It has come in the tradition that "Say: He is God" (Q 112:1) equals a third of the Qurʾān.
That is because "Qurʾān" is taken from qarʾ, which is gathering, and the Qurʾān gathers everything, since it came as an exposition of everything; so He, exalted is He, neglected nothing in the Book.
Everything is bound to be connected either with the Real, exalted is He, or with creation, or with the isthmus that unites the Real and creation, which is the Reality of the universal realities;
In one respect, the objects of knowledge that the Qurʾān points to are confined to these three. So He said: "Say: He is God, One" (Q 112:1).
It equals a third of what the Qurʾān gathers, that is, it matches it in the summary, not in the detail.
For His word "He" is an allusion to the Essence, the Unseen, the hidden;
and His word "God" is a proper name for the rank of the Essence, which is the Divinity that gathers all ranks, whose details have no end;
The Qurʾān is a detailing of it only relatively; otherwise, all that the theologians and the knowers of God have written down is a commentary on this word and a detailing of part of what it contains.
