قَالَ الْحَقُّ تَعَالَى لِبَعْضِ عَبِيدِهِ:
The Real, exalted is He, said to one of His servants:
قُلْ لِلْجَاهِلِينَ لِمَ لَا تَتَعَلَّمُونَ؟
“Say to the ignorant: Why do you not learn?
وَقُلْ لِلْعَالِمِينَ: لِمَ لَاتَعْمَلُونَ؟
And say to those who know: Why do you not act?
وَقُلْ لِلْعَامِلِينَ: لِمَ لَاتُخْلِصُونَ؟
And say to those who act: Why are you not sincere?
وَقُلْ لِلْمُخْلِصِينَ: لِمَ لَاتَتَخَلَّصُونَ، فَتَعْرِفُونَ اَنَّكُمْ لَسْتُمْ بِفَاعِلِينَ مِنْ حَيْثُ صُوَرِكُمْ وَخَلْقِكُمْ•
And say to the sincere: Why do you not free yourselves, and so come to know that you are not actors in respect of your forms and your createdness?
«وَمَا رَمَيْتَ» لَمَّا أَنْتُمْ فَاعِلُونَ مِنْ حَيْثُ وُجُودِكُمْ وَحَقِّكُمْ «إِذْ رَمَيْتَ»
“And you did not throw” (Q 8:17), since you are actors in respect of your existence and your Real, “when you threw” (Q 8:17).
فَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ يَعْبُدُ نَفْسَهُ فِي أَعْيَانِ خَلْقِهِ، «وَلَـٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ رَمَىٰ»
So glory be to Him who worships Himself in the entities of His creation, “but God threw” (Q 8:17).
«قَاتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ».
“Fight them: God will punish them by your hands” (Q 9:14).
